Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personal care services promptly and efficiently, responding to patient requests with respect and empathy.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
- Ensure patient safety by using equipment correctly and observing safety protocols.
- Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and changing linens as required.
- Support nutritional needs by planning and preparing meals, and assisting with feeding when necessary.
- Monitor and document vital signs as per care plans, reporting any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Provide mobility assistance and participate in prescribed exercises to enhance patient well-being.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for patients, ensuring comfort and hygiene.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to organizational standards of care.
Qualifications
- Completion of state-required training and certification as a nursing assistant.
- Experience in providing personal care, with a minimum of six months in a similar role.
- Ability to follow written instructions and document care accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Current CPR certification and ability to work independently.
- Good organizational skills and a calm demeanor in challenging situations.
