Job Title: Federal Work Study Student, Occupational Therapy

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Federal Work Study Student to join our Occupational Therapy team at the University of Texas Medical Branch. As a Federal Work Study Student, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience while pursuing your academic goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with various aspects of running the occupational therapy clinic, including opening and closing duties, managing volunteers, and financial management of funds.
  • Coordinate client and selective schedules, update client lists, and track client arrival and departure times.
  • Call existing referrals to schedule appointments and create weekly schedules on Epic.
  • Provide treatment notes for clients, transfer client plans of care, and ensure cabinets are organized.
  • Continuously seek out referrals and financial opportunities for the clinic.
  • Assist with miscellaneous duties, such as helping selective students with issues, maintaining equipment, and ensuring supplies are not running low.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Enrolled at least half-time at the University of Texas Medical Branch.

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position, and the student will work approximately 10-15 hours per week. The student will be required to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and some evenings.

Salary Range:

Commensurate with experience.
