We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Operations Supervisor to join our team at American Airlines. As a key member of our Integrated Operations Division, you will be responsible for overseeing Plant Maintenance operations in our largest HUB, ensuring that facilities-related work is maintained to company standards and the Facilities Maintenance Manual.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist management in evaluating Plant Maintenance employees and vendors for qualifications, experience levels, facilities, parts support, and overall ability to comply with Facility maintenance department programs and procedures.
  • Make technical recommendations regarding facilities and departmental operations, review contracts and vendor quotes for accuracy and correct job scope.
  • Initiate and manage repair work orders for time and material vendors as per outlined procedures.
  • Review vendor invoices for correct labor and material charges.
  • Inform Station Management of Facilities abuse-related damage and accident repair costs.
  • Assist local station management, personnel, and vendors with part procurement and technical expertise to expedite repairs.
  • Work with station personnel and vendors for product improvement and equipment upgrades, providing vendors with direction to enhance operations and improve cost efficiencies.
  • Perform Facilities, station, and vendor audits to ensure compliance with all Facilities Maintenance policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management.
  • Some travel may be required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalency.
  • 1 year leadership experience supervising production operations in an area related to heavy/shop maintenance.
  • Experience supervising/leading represented workgroups.
  • Knowledge of HVAC and industrial mechanical systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of the General Procedure Manual and Safety Policy Procedure Manual.
  • Knowledge of airport facilities maintenance and general repairs.
  • Knowledge of Airport Baggage Sortation system.
  • Knowledge of labor reporting and crew utilization.
  • Strong interpersonal and PC skills.
