Job Title: Polish Operator Trainee

Hytek Finishes Co. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Polish Operator Trainee to join our team in Kent, WA. As a Polish Operator Trainee, you will learn a range of techniques and tools for polishing parts, including the use of wheel lathes, Dynafiles, and various hand tools to achieve customer-driven visual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Learn to prepare and process parts using various polishing techniques.
  • Work closely with experienced Polish Operators and Department Leads to complete work and prioritize tasks.
  • Follow shop traveler, technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions from experienced Operators and Department Leads.
  • Review and identify internal paperwork to ensure all previous operations were completed, notifying Production Supervisor and Quality Assurance team of any processing errors.
  • Prepare parts prior to operations, including mechanical or chemical cleaning.
  • Perform inspection, measuring, and testing of part surfaces as required.
  • Maintain paint guns and paint booths, ensuring cleanliness at the close of shifts.
  • Perform pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
  • Follow Quality Assurance requirements.
  • Follow safety precautions as trained.
Requirements:
  • Ability to wear an N95 respirator as needed.
  • Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
  • Ability to read/write communicate in English with other employees, customers, and auditors.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary Range:

$15.74 to $45.00 per hour, dependent on previous aerospace experience or experience similar in duties and responsibilities as Hytek's job description.

Sign-on bonus available for 18-month commitment period.
