Medical Laboratory Specialist

Cancer Partners of Nebraska is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of disease by performing waived and non-waived tests in a clinical laboratory.
Responsibilities:- Perform routine tests in clinical laboratory for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease using standard techniques and equipment.
- Prepare solutions, reagents, and stains, following standard laboratory formulas and procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of tests performed and report laboratory test results to appropriate personnel.
- Collect blood specimens from patients using venipuncture or VAD draws.
- Calibrate and perform routine maintenance on test equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of MT, MLT, or CLA course of study.
- Minimum of one year experience in a clinical setting.
- ASCP or AMT certification.
- Varied activities including sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching.
- Requires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Frequent standing for extended periods of time.
