Responsibilities- Design and build distributed, scalable, fault-tolerant software systems using modern infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services.
- Participate in the entire software lifecycle, from development to testing, CI, and production operations.
- Balance product feature development with production operational concerns, including writing run books, ops automation, structured logging, and instrumentation for metrics and events.
- Leverage internal tooling at OCI to develop, build, deploy, and fix software.
- Participate in on-call rotations for the service with the team and resolve issues when they arise.
- Prior experience working on distributed systems.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Java, C#, C/C++, and/or Python.
- Experience building highly available services, with knowledge of common service-oriented design patterns and service-to-service communication protocols.
- Familiarity with modern infrastructure components, such as service discovery, secret storage, software-defined networking, and more.
- Production experience with cloud and ML technologies, with a strong understanding of cloud engineering infrastructure development.
