As a key member of our dermatology department, you will be responsible for receiving and logging dermatological and oral pathology specimens, preparing them for computer entry, and ensuring accurate and efficient processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accept and receipt specimen samples from couriers
  • Prepare specimens for computer entry by compiling and sorting information, establishing entry priorities
  • Process customer documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents or specimens to the lab manager for resolution
  • Enter customer and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard or barcode scanner
  • Maintain specimen entry requirements by following proper techniques and procedures
Requirements
  • Two years of professional experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position
  • Prior experience in a pathology lab
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Organization, Typing, Data Entry Skills, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Thoroughness, Decision Making, Independence, Analyzing Information
