Job Summary

The RN Staff Educator Inpatient Oncology role at Research Medical Center is a dynamic opportunity for a dedicated nursing professional to make a meaningful impact on patient care and outcomes. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing staff, promoting evidence-based practice and research.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver educational programs tailored to meet the needs of nursing staff, focusing on oncology-specific topics and best practices.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based protocols and guidelines.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted educational initiatives.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to nursing staff to enhance their clinical skills and confidence.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in oncology nursing, applying this knowledge to inform educational programs and practice.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in nursing and a current RN license from the Missouri Division of Professional Registration or an active compact license.
  • At least 3 years of clinical experience in oncology nursing, with a strong background in teaching and education.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification, with ACLS and OCN certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Experience with curriculum development and instructional design, with a focus on adult learning principles.
