Environmental Department Manager

ECS Limited is seeking an experienced leader to oversee our Environmental team in the Southeast US. As our Natural Resources Department Manager, you will be responsible for managing operations, technicians, and project managers, as well as contributing to business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the department for continued growth, emphasizing business development and marketing initiatives.
- Lead and mentor a team of environmental technicians and project managers, overseeing environmental services projects and report reviews, preparing proposals for environmental services, managing departmental P&L, and assisting other senior staff in marketing our services by maintaining and developing client interactions.
- Supervise employees and manage the department on a daily basis.
- Manage projects and budgets.
- Coordinate effectively with regulatory authorities.
- May involve report preparation duties based on the needs of the department.
- BS in Geology or a related field; MS preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- PWS, Soil Scientist Licensure, and/or PE designation.
- Wetland/stream delineation experience.
- Navigating complex 404/401 permitting in the Southeast US.
- Business development acumen.
- Stream restoration experience.
- NEPA experience.
- DOT experience.
- Threatened and Endangered Species assessment/survey.
- Coastal zone permitting.
- Storm water design experience.
