Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Assistant Coordinator to join our team at Professional Packaging Systems. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for assisting in the procurement of materials for production at our manufacturing locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers to ensure seamless product supply to our sites.
  • Process purchase orders for materials purchases and indirect purchases, reviewing forecasts and adjusting PO timing as needed.
  • Communicate with sites on needs and expectations, updating the purchasing system for vendor information and maintaining a vendor contact database.
  • Provide reports on purchases, returns, credits, and inventories upon request, as well as requested information to customers.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in purchasing or a related field.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Able to maintain a high level of business courtesy and etiquette when interacting with customers, vendors, and sales representatives.
  • Deliver against KPIs for the purchasing department.
  • Experience with purchasing paper-based packaging required.
  • Ability to forecast and run MRP, knowledge of the CPG industry, and ability to solve problems independently.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. and must be 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Outlook and Google Suite, with skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, and customer relations skills.
  • Attention to detail and mental concentration necessary for accurately performing clerical tasks, balancing multiple priorities, and handling frequent interruptions.
