We are seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join our team at the VA in Minneapolis, MN.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will provide high-quality anesthesiology services to patients in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in providing anesthesiology services in a hospital or OR setting, with a focus on cardiothoracic experience.
Responsibilities:- Administer anesthesia or medically direct CRNAs or anesthesiology residents
- Provide anesthesiology services in a hospital setting
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
- Meet the qualifications and requirements outlined below
- Two years of recent experience providing anesthesiology services in a hospital or OR setting
- Recent cardiothoracic experience
- Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA)
- BLS, ACLS
- Licensed in any state, full and unrestricted
- Must be able to pass the VA's background investigation
The compensation for this position includes:
- 1099, all inclusive
- $430/hr for M-F regular hours
- $100/hr for on-call from home
- $125/hr for on-call holidays from home
- $475/hr for call-back
The successful candidate will also have access to:
- Bring your own or use our carrier and benefit from group rates (claims made + 3yr tail)
The work schedule for this position includes:
- Estimated 80 hours every two weeks except for weeks with Federal Holidays
- Start time is 6:30 a.m. - End time is 3:00 p.m. (8-hr. duty)
- Start time is 6:30 a.m. - End time is 5:00 p.m. (10-hr. duty)
- Variable start time based on late start cases
The on-call schedule for this position includes:
- On-call hours are estimated not to exceed one call per week
- Weekday call: Monday - Friday coverage is 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. next day
- Weekend call: starts Saturday at 7:00 a.m. and goes to 7:00 a.m. on Monday
- Holiday call: coverage is from 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m. next day
A two-week (paid) orientation will be provided for new Anesthesiologists.
