Key Responsibilities:
The Broadcast Media Installation Lead will oversee a variety of installation tasks related to technology projects for our clients. This role is crucial for providing on-site leadership and ensuring the successful execution of work within client facilities.
Primary Duties:
1. Utilize skills from a Senior Installation Technician role to ensure project completion, quality assurance, and goal attainment.
2. Supervise all on-site activities at project locations, addressing any challenges to meet quality and timeline expectations.
3. Support technologies including video conferencing systems, control room setups, and related video production equipment.
4. Direct and assign tasks to multiple installation teams, subcontractors, and union trades.
5. Manage field operations and communicate progress, status, and issues to the project manager.
6. Oversee the physical installation of diverse technologies across various sites.
7. Ensure quality control on-site by reviewing work performed by employees, subcontractors, and union trades.
8. Interpret functional design drawings and cable riser diagrams effectively.
9. Maintain a consistent level of technical performance while being adaptable with work schedules.
10. Complete tasks within or ahead of established timeframes.
11. Construct and wire custom panels based on engineering specifications.
12. Handle advanced fiber optic cable installation, termination, and testing.
13. Provide training and support to on-site installation technicians.
14. Manage and track toolkits, job material boxes, company vehicles, and inventory of materials.
15. Maintain a daily log of hours worked on specific projects for timesheet purposes.
Qualifications:
Education/Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- AVIXA CTS Certification preferred
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 4 years in an installation technician role with leadership experience
- Familiarity with a broad range of broadcast installations, audio, video, and networking equipment
- Advanced skills in AV installation
- Knowledge of low voltage electrical principles
- Strong verbal communication and customer service abilities
- Proficient in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.
Compensation:
- Pay Type: Hourly
- Minimum Hiring Rate: $40.00
- Maximum Hiring Rate: $50.00
