Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing payroll, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to customer-centric processes and procedures to deliver premium service
  • Respond timely to customer requests and collect new customer data
  • Reconcile wage detail and process initial payrolls in a timely manner
  • Communicate feedback on payroll system improvements to Manager
  • Support processes and procedures to ensure integrity and accountability for SOC-1 compliance
  • Manage assigned customer base daily to ensure services delivered positively impact customers
  • Serve as backup to all other team members for customer inquiries/issues and payroll support
  • Assist Tax department as needed to ensure timely resolution and filing of tax returns during peak periods
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Three to five years of experience in a high-growth payroll service bureau operation
  • CPP Certification preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage resources and identify staffing needs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn other application programs
