About the Role

As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services team and requires a strong understanding of building operations and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure building systems are operating within design capabilities and meet environmental conditions prescribed by clients.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of building equipment and systems.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless building operations and maintenance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in building operations and maintenance.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in building operations and maintenance, or related field.
  • Universal EPA certification required; additional certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and refrigeration systems a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
