Certified Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Sabal Palms Health & Rehabilitation. As a key member of our care team, you will provide essential support to our residents, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Provide physical support to assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Observe and document the health, behavior, and physical condition of each resident, reporting any changes to the nurse.
- Respond promptly and courteously to resident call signals, signal lights, bells, or intercom systems to determine residents' needs.
- Promote personal safety and the safety of residents by observing infection control practices and reporting unsafe situations to the nurse.
- Communicate effectively with nurses on resident conditions, changes, and concerns.
- Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
- Provide companionship, comfort, and support to residents.
- Meet federal and state in-service requirements.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
- Prefer 6 months or more of experience in a home care, assisted living, or long-term care facility.
This position involves potential and/or direct exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious diseases, air contaminants, and hazardous chemicals.
The physical activities of this position involve:
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds.
Moving, lifting, or transferring of residents may involve lifting up to 75 pounds.
The cognitive activities of this position are:
- Executes tasks independently.
- Ability to express yourself clearly and effectively verbally.
- Ability to concentrate on moderate details with frequent interruptions.
