Practice Details
- Located in a modern clinic with state-of-the-art technology, attached to St. Mary's Hospital-Superior.
- Full-time and permanent position with a competitive salary and benefit package.
- Minimum 6 weeks of time off per year.
Practice Environment
- Our ideal candidate would be an easy-going, patient-centered physician leader who enjoys working with an existing, low-maintenance team.
- Optional obstetrics for this position.
- Weekend clinic call is 1:8 (1:9 starting September 23).
- Weeknight call is 1:8 (1:9 starting September 23).
Multi-Specialty Group
- Part of a multi-specialty group consisting of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants.
- Integrated Behavioral Health services with 4 psychotherapists, 1 behavioral health NP, 1 behavioral health MD (via telehealth), and an onsite adult partial hospitalization program.
- Over 20 outreach specialists available on-site, including ophthalmology, ENT, audiology, OBGYN, general surgery, weight management, diabetes, nephrology, rheumatology, pulmonology, pain management, orthopedic medicine and surgery, podiatry, cardiology, tobacco cessation, mediation therapy management, gastroenterology, vascular surgery, and urology.
- Nurse on-line triage and EPIC electronic medical records in clinic and hospital.
Admitting and Urgent Care
- Admit to St. Mary's Hospital-Superior, a 25-bed critical access hospital with transitional care services.
- Urgent care staffed 7 days a week with NP/PA providers.
Location
- Located approximately 5 miles south of Duluth, MN, and 150 miles north of Minneapolis, MN.
- Part of a popular tourist route in the Midwest, embracing the westernmost tip of Lake Superior.
- Superior population: 28,000; Duluth/Superior regional population 130,000.
