Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Construction Inspector to join our team at BGM ENGINEERING LLC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of construction projects in New York City.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering and inspection, with experience working on complex building and facility projects. You will be responsible for performing inspections, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
  • Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports, including photographs and other supporting documents
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection activities and report any defects or issues found during inspections
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure seamless project execution
  • Participate in project meetings and conference calls to discuss project progress and address any concerns

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience as a construction inspector or special inspector
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of structural design and building codes

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan and paid time off.
