Adult Medicine Nurse Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Adult Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our inpatient team at our facility in Queens. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and diagnose adult patients for acute and chronic conditions under the supervision of an attending physician
  • Conduct patient histories, perform physical exams, and order necessary tests to inform treatment decisions
  • Prescribe medications, order labs, and request imaging to manage immediate care needs and provide follow-up recommendations
  • Document patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Develop and implement comprehensive diagnostic and treatment plans tailored to each patient
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality care and provide guidance for post-discharge follow-up
  • Educate patients on preventive care and health maintenance strategies
  • Complete documentation and charting in a timely manner to meet medical records standards and support billing requirements
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, preferably as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP)
  • Active NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
  • Strong skills in patient assessment, clinical care, and thorough documentation
  • Patient-focused with a commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical setting
  • Highly organized with the ability to maintain accurate and timely medical records
