Job Summary

The City of Frederick is seeking a highly visible and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Parking Enforcement Monitor. This position is a key part of the Parking Department, responsible for ensuring public compliance with parking regulations in a designated area of the city.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol assigned areas on foot to monitor parking compliance and issue citations as necessary.
  • Identify and report missing, defaced, or deteriorated signs and meter malfunctions.
  • Provide information to the public regarding parking regulations and facilities.
  • Present information and documentation as needed for court hearings.
  • Work cooperatively with City staff and the public to promote and uphold applicable laws, codes, and ordinances.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least three (3) months related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to work with the public, exercise customer service skills, and work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing.
Work Environment

The work environment for this position will involve regular exposure to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The employee will also be required to move up to 25 pounds and have specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
