This role involves building relationships with key influencers, participating in college fairs, and conducting visits to high schools and colleges within the designated recruitment area. Reporting to the Associate Director of Recruitment, the Enrollment Specialist plays a crucial role in developing the recruitment funnel and ensuring a smooth admission process for prospective students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement recruitment strategies to generate leads and applications for assigned territories, ensuring a high conversion rate of applicants to enrolled students.
  • Enhance revenue for UHSP through effective territory management, strategic planning, and collaboration with program admissions representatives.
  • Oversee territory logistics, including travel planning and communication strategies, to optimize lead generation while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Develop and execute a tailored recruitment strategy based on data analysis to identify schools, fairs, and events that align with University goals.
  • Initiate and manage event programming and special projects within your recruitment area, working autonomously.
  • Promote UHSP to prospective students and their families through engaging presentations, meetings, and various communication channels.
  • Assess prospective students' needs and qualifications, providing them with clear and concise information to facilitate informed enrollment decisions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with high school counselors, community college advisors, and other influencers to expand the applicant pipeline.
  • Actively participate in professional networks, attending college fairs and recruitment events to gather prospective student information.
  • Travel as necessary to support recruitment initiatives.
Qualifications

To excel in this position, you should possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of one year of professional experience, ideally in admissions or sales, with experience in delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
  • A genuine passion for helping others achieve their educational and career objectives.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, including effective follow-up on leads.
  • Proficiency in utilizing social media for professional purposes and familiarity with customer relationship management software.
  • A strong desire to meet both individual and team goals.
  • The ability to communicate persuasively in person, via phone, and through email.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and a sales-oriented mindset.
  • The capacity to travel (40-50%), work evenings and weekends, and lift materials up to 50 pounds, along with a valid driver's license.
