Position Summary
The Tank Maintenance Specialist is responsible for executing physical tasks in various industrial settings, including tank farms, terminals, power generation facilities, and refineries.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate completion of all cleaning assignments while adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Removal of tank pumps, fill valves, and other components to facilitate access to tanks.
- Ensuring that all tanks and associated equipment are cleaned according to established quality control standards.
- Loading hoses, chemicals, and necessary equipment onto vehicles for job assignments.
- Connecting and disconnecting tank accessories using appropriate tools and materials as instructed by supervisors.
- Performing maintenance on external valves, pumps, fittings, and hose connections on trailers or containers.
Qualifications:
- Willingness to travel 30% of the time, including extended periods away from home.
- Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification will be provided upon hiring.
- Must possess a TWIC Card.
- Physical ability to lift and carry loads up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to climb stairs while carrying materials weighing between 40 and 60 pounds.
- Experience working in confined spaces.
- Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions for extended hours.
- Average work schedule of 60 hours per week, Monday through Saturday.
Career Level: Entry-level
Experience: Preferred 1+ years, though not mandatory.
