About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Nursing Care Specialist to join our team at UT Health San Antonio. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate nursing professional to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Job Summary

The Senior Nursing Care Specialist will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse to deliver direct nursing care to patients in a hospital setting. Key responsibilities include preparing equipment, assisting healthcare providers during treatment and examination, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have pediatric and outpatient experience, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients, including preparing equipment and assisting healthcare providers during treatment and examination
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas
• Pediatric and outpatient experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Work Environment

This role will work assigned hours at our main campus clinic and another clinic off-campus in the Monte Vista area. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
