Toolmaker Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join our team at Middle River Aerostructure Systems. As a Toolmaker, you will play a critical role in the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of high-precision tools used in the manufacturing of complex aerostructures.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and repair tools and fixtures to meet precise specifications
- Operate a variety of precision measuring instruments, including laser, optics, V-stars, scales, micrometers, and height gauges
- Use trigonometry to calculate dimensions and lay out contours for data not shown on tool drawings
- Work independently with minimal supervision, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high-quality tools and fixtures are delivered on time
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience in toolmaking or a related field
- Thorough knowledge of complex drawings and precision measuring instruments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds and work in a warehouse environment
