Job Summary

Cooper University Health Care is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate preparation and dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately prepare and compound medications, including IV medications, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Restock automated dispensing devices and carousels.
Fill floor stock requisitions.
Complete expired medication inspections.
Answer phones to assist with dispensing questions.
Ensure all medications are properly delivered.
Break down wholesaler orders, complete receipt documentation, and stock in designated locations.
Maintain organization of storage areas and storerooms, ensuring ordering of replacement stock as required based on patient usage and par levels.
Functionally use hospital information systems.

Requirements

Current NJ registration (or eligible on hire).
Must register with the NJ Board of Pharmacy during the first 10 days of employment.
Must complete the registration with the NJ Board of Pharmacy and become an active registered Pharmacy Technician within 180 days of hire.
Pharmacy Technician National Certification (PTCB) - preferred.
