Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections and tests of ground combat systems to identify any defects or malfunctions.
  • Use specialized equipment and tools to test and evaluate the performance of ground combat systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy in testing and inspection processes.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
  • Strong understanding of ground combat systems and their components.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

The Vehicle Test Inspector will work in a production environment, including:

  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and handling various parts up to 40 lbs.
  • Climbing ladders and stairs into and onto vehicle structures.
  • Potential for walking and standing on uneven surfaces.
  • Potential for working in both overhead and laying prone positions.
  • Working at heights and in confined areas.
  • Bending, kneeling, standing, stooping, twisting.
  • Working in and around dust, fumes, oils, mists, lubricants, solvents, and in areas with a high noise volume.
  • Using hand tools, including but not limited to pry bar, large hand wrenches, ratchet wrenches, impact wrenches, air/gas couplings, tap handles, air tools, and grinding tools.
  • Overtime and off-shift work may be required.
  • Work in extreme heat and cold, including inclement weather.
  • Wearing of required PPE (personal protective equipment) is mandatory.
