About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Underwriting Officer to join our team at Argo Group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing underwriting strategies that drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement underwriting strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives
  • Lead a team of underwriters to ensure accurate and timely risk assessment and pricing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including agents, brokers, and customers
Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience in underwriting and risk management
  • Bachelor's degree or CPCU required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
