Position Title: QA/Automation Tester

Work Arrangement: HYBRID

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft, implement, and sustain automated testing scripts utilizing tools such as Huloop, Selenium, and Cypress.
  • Develop and document thorough test cases for both manual and automated assessments to guarantee comprehensive test coverage.
  • Examine application functionalities to pinpoint areas suitable for manual and automated testing, determining optimal testing methodologies.
  • Collaborate with development and design teams to embed automated tests within the development lifecycle, ensuring new features are testable.
  • Engage in sprint planning and design evaluations, offering QA insights and contributing to the ongoing enhancement of testing practices.
  • Assess, prioritize, and document software defects, creating focused test cases and automated scripts to resolve identified challenges.
  • Diagnose and rectify issues with automation scripts, ensuring their precision and dependability.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the QA process by incorporating new tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Provide reports on testing activities, delivering detailed feedback on test outcomes, quality metrics, and improvement areas.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance testing (Planning, Design, Execution).
  • Hands-on experience with various testing types including Integration, System/Functional, Data Migration, End to End, Sanity, Smoke, and Regression testing using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Proven capability in designing, creating, and executing manual API tests and SQL database queries.
  • Strong technical and design skills, with a solid understanding of testing methodologies, tools, standards, and procedures.
  • Ability to manage medium to large tasks with varying levels of complexity.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Capable of executing and delivering plans with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Azure DevOps, SQL Server Management Studio, ControlM, and Postman tools.
  • Experience in the Banking and Financial sector, particularly in Commercial Lending.
  • Proficient with documentation tools such as Confluence/Share Point.
  • Good experience with Microsoft Test Professional/Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar test and defect management tools.
  • Ability to create and execute test scripts covering positive, negative, and edge case scenarios as applicable.
  • Maintain QA documentation and test matrices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ISTQB foundation level or equivalent certification.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with UI testing frameworks and technologies such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
  • Familiarity with financial services, especially in environments related to trading systems, FIX protocol, and associated technologies.
  • Understanding of industry standards like SWIFT and ISO 20022, particularly in relation to QA and automated testing.

Desirable Experience:

  • Business experience in a financial services environment, with knowledge of securities markets and trading systems.
