Job Overview

Banyan Search is conducting a search for a Senior Accountant for an exceptional client due to organizational growth. Our client offers many benefits, and this role will play an integral part of the Financial Reporting team in this growing organization with consistent exposure to management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements ensuring results are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Prepare Journal entries and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform variance analysis to understand trends and variances to financial plans and provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Work with various business partners to understand financial results and provide analytics as needed.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required to support business decisions.
  • Lead process improvements to streamline workflow and improve accuracy of information.
  • Develop accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide information to internal and external auditors and ensure internal controls are maintained.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 3+ years of accounting-related experience, with at least 2 years in public accounting.
  • CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience with large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • High amount of organization and experience with internal controls framework and monitoring.

This position is HYBRID, and all candidates must reside within driving distance to the client's location, as in-office work will be required 1-2 times/week.
