Job Description

At Jump Higher Connecticut LLC, we are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation and Organization: Perform a variety of tasks related to food preparation and organization in the kitchen, including food handling, storage, and presentation.
  • Team Collaboration: Effectively communicate with other kitchen staff members to ensure seamless service and high-quality food production.
  • Service Standards: Run the line during service, maintaining high standards of quality, appearance, and portion size.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality and presentation of dishes to ensure only those that meet our high standards are served to our guests.
  • Hygiene and Cleanliness: Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen, adhering to cleaning routines and procedures.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment, including knives.
Requirements:
  • Age and Education: At least 18 years of age and a high school education or equivalent.
  • Language and Math Skills: Read, write, speak, and understand English comprehensively, and possess basic math skills and understanding of basic measurements.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds on a regular basis, and frequent long periods of standing and walking during the workday.
  • Visual and Auditory Tasks: Ability to see and hear adequately to perform job functions.
