Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at ClearSky Health. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients, working under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct, non-invasive bedside care to patients, including bathing, toileting, feeding, and grooming.
- Perform and document vital signs, measures, and records intake and output, weights, specimen collections, and other essential patient data.
- Transfer patients safely and efficiently, utilizing proper body mechanics and safe patient handling techniques.
- Report any changes in patient condition or behavior to appropriate nursing personnel.
- Assist in preparing patient rooms and beds for receiving patient admissions, maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
- Adhere to patient rounding expectations and standards, ensuring timely and effective patient care.
- Assist in maintaining a physical, social, and psychological environment conducive to patient comfort and optimal healing.
- Promptly respond to patient and family calls and requests, providing exceptional customer service.
- Designate applicable charges to individual patients using our established system.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent strongly preferred.
- 2 years of experience in an inpatient hospital setting preferred.
- Knowledge of current clinical operations and procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge of appropriate Infection Prevention and proper body mechanics.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and complete complex tasks.
A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, reaching, carrying, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods of time. Both gross and precise motor functions. Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs. Possible exposure to bodily fluids. Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care. Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment. Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard. Close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
