Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team at TMG. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, as well as boiler and ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations and perform repairs to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular scheduled maintenance on equipment and facilities to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain a variety of equipment, including forklifts, pumps, and HVAC systems.
  • Plumbing and Carpentry: Perform plumbing and carpentry tasks as needed to maintain facility plumbing and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Quality Control: Monitor equipment performance and detect any issues or defects, reporting them to management as needed.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety rules and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in mechanical technology or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a USDA-regulated environment.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical knowledge and repair abilities; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities; forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PLC and HVAC Experience: Previous experience with PLC systems, HVAC systems, and ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • Power Systems Experience: Previous experience with power systems, AC frequency drives, gearboxes, chain and belt drives, and pumps.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook; previous experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks for generating and editing schematics and mechanical drawings.
