Curriculum Writer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Curriculum Writer to join our team at the University of Texas at Austin. As a key member of our THRIVE program, you will be responsible for developing high-quality mentoring and induction curricula for early career teachers.

Responsibilities:

• Identify key mentor program curriculum components and develop them in collaboration with subject matter experts.
• Review existing mentoring programs and research to inform curriculum development.
• Lead professional learning sessions for mentors and teacher leaders, including pilot testing and refining curriculum based on feedback.
• Develop train-the-trainer resources to prepare others to lead program components.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience designing and delivering curriculum for adult learners.
• Experience as a successful classroom teacher.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative communities and relationships.
• Strong content and pedagogical knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's or higher degree in a related field.
• Experience as an instructional leader and/or campus administrator.
• Experience supporting bilingual, dual language, and/or special education teachers.

Working Conditions:

• Standard office conditions.

Salary Range:

$29 - $44 per hour.
