Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse (CN) is a registered nurse who provides hands-on care to patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This role requires a strong foundation in pediatric critical care nursing, with a focus on providing high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Implement and evaluate nursing interventions to promote patient recovery and prevent complications.
  • Collaborate with patients and families to educate them on self-care and illness prevention.
  • Participate in unit-based committees and shared governance activities to improve patient care and the work environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of unit policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current California RN license.
  • Minimum 2 years of previous pediatric ICU and/or cardiac experience.
  • Current AHA Healthcare Provider BCLS and PALS certification.
  • CPRN preferred.
