Job Description

Georgia Home Health Services is seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team on a PRN basis. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients in their homes, improving and maximizing their communication abilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' speech and language abilities.
  • Develop and implement personalized plans of care to address patients' functional speech defects.
  • Administer speech therapy programs using specialized techniques and equipment.
  • Recommend communication devices and aids as necessary.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Prepare and submit detailed notes according to organization policy.
  • Maintain clinical competency in speech-language pathology practice and theory.
  • Identify patient and family/caregiver needs for other services and refer as appropriate.
  • Instruct patients, family/caregivers, and other healthcare personnel in treatment regimes as indicated.
  • May supervise home health aides in procedures related to the speech-language therapy plan of care.
Qualifications:
  • Possesses a master's or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology and meets the following requirements:
  • Licensed as a speech-language pathologist by the State in which the individual furnishes service.
  • Successfully completed an approved national examination in SLP.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
  • Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
