Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assembly Supervisor to lead our production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, training new employees, and identifying and resolving production issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the assembly team to achieve production goals and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving production metrics, including efficiency, utilization, cross-training, and quality.
  • Advise on layout recommendations based on materials usage and needs.
  • Identify and solve issues preventing production goals from being met.
  • Manage the delegation of labor to ensure time is effectively and efficiently utilized.
  • Ownership for assigned sections of the manufacturing monthly report.
  • Suggest cost savings ideas to the management team and implement them where needed.
  • Assist with the processing of traded-in devices from hospitals physically and electronically.
  • Train and onboard new employees on their job functions.
  • Answer team members' questions and assist them with new or difficult tasks.
  • Complete evaluations for reporting employees.
  • Conduct 1-1s with reporting employees to resolve any open issues, review OKRs, and assist with employee growth opportunities.
  • Reporting on team function to management.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to execute improvements or solve problems.
  • Perform Evaluations.
  • Assist/coach employees in quarterly OKR creation.
  • Provide input for updating relevant processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Looks ahead at tasks each week to proactively address issues before they arise.
  • Manage schedule and vacation requests.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required.
  • College degree preferred.
  • 1 year of manufacturing or assembly supervision is required.
  • 4 years of manufacturing leadership experience is preferred.
  • Experience using hand tools.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Understanding and application of quality systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to increase assembler efficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong organization and time management.
  • Coaching/mentoring employees to improve and grow.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Must be able to sit for much of the workday with periodic walking and/or standing.
  • Must be able to work in an office and warehouse environment.
  • Must be aware and follow safe working practices when working in the manufacturing and warehouse area.
  • Able to lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Must be able to operate hand tools.
  • This position is full-time.
