About the Role

This unpaid internship is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in accounting and finance, while also giving them the opportunity to learn about the business realities of administration and management in a non-profit organization.

Salary: $15 per hour, estimated based on industry standards and location.

Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Research and maintain accurate financial records, including data entry and filing.
  2. Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, invoices, and other documents.
  3. Work with bookkeeping software, such as QuickBooks, to analyze financial data and prepare reports.
  4. Participate in other accounting activities, such as learning how to work with the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the organization.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Pursuing or have already received an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Students must have completed at least two years of an accounting program.
  • Knowledge and understanding of general business matters required, including budget development, financial reporting, cash management, business taxes, banking, and debt financing instruments.
