About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Coordinator to join our Athletics Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing various business-related processes, including procurement, travel, budgeting, and ticket reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage athletic department budgets, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Process requisitions and purchasing requests, maintaining compliance with NCAA and institutional regulations.
  • Provide administrative support for coaching staff and administrators, including travel arrangements and event coordination.
  • Manage ticket reporting and reconciliation for athletic events, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Serve as a liaison between the athletics department and purchasing, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with one year of experience in higher education and two years of administrative experience.
  • Intermediate to high-level software skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.
  • Attention to detail, highly organized, critical thinking, and multi-tasking ability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree with more than three years of experience, with part at Sul Ross State University or other related experience.
  • Word processing, database, and spreadsheet computer program skills.
Working Conditions

This is a security-sensitive position, requiring the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. The position involves working in an office environment, with some night and weekend hours required.
