We are seeking a skilled Histology Technician to join our team at Inova Health System. As a Histology Technician, you will play a critical role in preparing and processing tissue samples for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities:- Embed and orient pathology specimens to ensure optimal sectioning.
- Perform routine and special staining procedures, including cover-slipping and labeling slides.
- Operate microtomes and other laboratory equipment to prepare tissue samples for examination.
- Maintain accurate records of all tests performed and ensure compliance with established policies and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth workflow and quality operations.
- Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Histotechnician program within the last five years.
- Four years of experience in histology laboratory settings.
- Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL ASCP) certification.
