Position Title: Class A CDL Truck Driver - 4th Shift

Shift Hours: 4:45 am - 5:15 pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Class A CDL Truck Driver is responsible for the following tasks:

1. Operate company-owned and leased vehicles exceeding 4 tons to support shipping and receiving operations.
2. Manage trucks for the delivery, collection, and relocation of client products and materials.
3. This role is primarily on-site, focusing on trailer movements within the yard, with no long-distance driving involved.
4. Conduct necessary pre-operation, during-operation, and post-operation maintenance, and submit required reports.
5. Deliver exceptional customer service during both delivery and collection processes.
6. Utilize material handling equipment as needed.
7. Uphold all required certifications mandated by DOT, OSHA, and company safety protocols.
8. Ensure the protection and maintenance of all entrusted property in excellent condition.
9. Undertake additional tasks as assigned to enhance overall team performance.
10. Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Comprehensive understanding of traffic regulations and defensive driving techniques.
- Hazmat/tanker endorsement is preferred.
- Proficient in operating the necessary tools and equipment.
- Ability to safely navigate various vehicles.
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and the public.
- Effective communication skills.
- Capacity to work independently.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in diverse weather conditions.
- Capability to make independent decisions that may moderately impact the organization.
- Must successfully pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screening.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent driving experience with a Class A CDL.
- Must maintain a clean driving record with minimal infractions over the past 3 years.
- Current Class A CDL and DOT card are required.
- Must successfully complete a road test administered by the company.
- Experience as a yard dog/tractor driver is preferred.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED equivalent, with at least one year of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the job.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain forklift certification.
- Valid State CDL License is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as protocols, standard operating procedures, customer orders, and pick tickets.

REASONING ABILITY:
Able to apply common sense understanding to execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
