Surgical Physician Assistant Job Summary

Catholic Health Service is seeking a highly skilled Surgical Physician Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Surgical Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the prompt, efficient, and effective treatment of all patients.

As a Surgical Physician Assistant, you will function as an extension of the Surgical Physician, performing assessments and evaluations, recording admission orders, and initiating consultations. You will also be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients for common illnesses and injuries.

We are looking for a candidate with 1-3 years of Surgical First Assistant experience, including experience in various surgical disciplines such as General, Vascular, Thoracic, Orthopedics, ENT, Plastics, GYN, Urology, and Colon-Rectal. You must also have experience managing routine surgical patients on the surgical floors, ICU, and ER.

Formal documentation of experience in open and laparoscopic cases is required. This may be obtained from the OR statistician at previous places of employment.
