Safety and Compliance Specialist

Safety and Compliance Role:
At Constellation, we are seeking a highly skilled Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance with industry, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance and evaluate performance.
- Plan, implement, and conduct preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive environmental safety & health programs on premises or at project site locations.
- Provide project management team with guidance on health and safety and confirm project site fulfills industry, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborate with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management.
- Maintain a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.
- Guarantee that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.
- Provide technical support to project managers.
- Develop and maintain project cost/change controls, and project budget and accounting records.
- Report the status of projects to business and market leaders.
- Participate in team meetings and provide regular on-site project presence.
Requirements:
- Risk assessment/management
- Administrative policies and procedures
- Familiarity with project and department budget process and tools
- Knowledge of project controls
- Conceptual planning ability
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, Engineering or related discipline a plus
- At least 4 years management level safety profession experience
- Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA, 30-hour Construction Safety and Industry Standards plus familiarity with DOE 10 CFR Part 851 highly desirable
