Position Overview

The role involves welding aluminum boats in accordance with the departmental production timeline.

Key Responsibilities and Skills Required:
  • Exhibit proficiency in keel welding.
  • Show expertise in welding transoms.
  • Demonstrate basic skills in jig welding.
  • Maintain a tidy and safe workspace.
  • Utilize, store, and clean necessary safety equipment appropriately.
  • Interpret general technical procedures and drawings with guidance.
  • Apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
  • Identify problems, gather data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Wear provided personal protective equipment consistently.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma, GED, or welding certification.
  • Up to one year of welding experience or a proven ability to fulfill essential duties.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, tools, or controls.
  • Frequent reaching with arms and hands.
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling as needed.
  • Regular walking, climbing, and balancing.
  • Frequent lifting and moving of items weighing 50 pounds or more.
  • Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • This position is safety-sensitive.
