Job Summary

The House Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the public areas of the hotel. This includes cleaning and maintaining floors, carpets, and furniture, as well as ensuring the public restrooms are clean and well-maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Comply with hotel standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Clean and buff floors daily according to hotel standards.
  • Shampoo carpets and furniture as needed according to hotel standards.
  • Clean public restrooms and ensure maintenance on a regular basis.
  • Handle requests for luggage assistance at check-in and check-out in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Practice safe work habits to ensure safety for guests, fellow associates, and self.
  • Handle items for 'Lost and Found' according to hotel standards.
  • Turn in all keys and assignment sheets to the Housekeeping or Front Office at the end of the shift.
  • Complete daily assignment checklist and submit to supervisor at the end of the day.
  • Perform other tasks and jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Valid driver's license for the applicable state and an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving record).
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work well in stressful and high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
