Responsibilities
  • Provide basic elder care under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, utilizing an elder-centered approach based on principles of respect, dignity, and individualized care.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, as needed.
  • Administer routine daily nursing care, including vital sign checks, medication administration, and wound care, as directed by the licensed nurse.
  • Document resident care and progress in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and implementation to ensure the highest level of quality care.
Requirements
  • Iowa Certified Nurse's Aide certification
  • Active status on the Direct Care Worker's Registry
  • Maintains valid certification
  • Previous experience in the medical field preferred
