Diagnostic Sonographer, Float, Norton Community Medical Associates

Job Summary:
The Diagnostic Sonographer, Float, is responsible for performing routine diagnostic imaging studies, providing excellent patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality ultrasound imaging studies, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of anatomy, patient positioning, and ultrasound imaging equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and physicians, relieving anxiety and ensuring a positive experience.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to Radiographic Positioning, Radiographic Technique, Radiation Safety, Imaging Equipment, Infection Control, and Quality Control techniques.
- Present a pleasant and helpful manner to patients, physicians, subordinates, and other department staff.
- Vary work schedule to meet the needs of the department and patients.
- Provide services to all patients, families, and physicians serving the Norton Healthcare system, ranging from neonate to geriatric populations.
Qualifications:
- One of: RDMS or ARRT (S) Must obtain credential within one year of hire.
- Desired: One year ultrasound experience, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or Sonography Technologist.
