Overview:

The Unconventional is in search of a skilled Security Operations Specialist to provide comprehensive support to SOCPAC across various security domains including industrial, personnel, information, and physical security in compliance with Department of Defense regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will:

  • Oversee and manage the complete industrial security framework while assisting with the Special Compartmented Information (SCI) program.
  • Collaborate with the Special Security Office to ensure cohesive security operations across all disciplines.
  • Design and deliver security orientation sessions for personnel.
  • Ensure all documentation adheres to COCOM, TSOC, and DoD guidelines.
  • Maintain and manage personnel security records using DISS/Joint Clearance and Access Verification System (JCAVS).
  • Analyze DISS results and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Participate as a key member of the SOCPAC Insider Threat Working Group.
  • Administer security access badges for both permanent staff and visitors.
  • Conduct initial investigations into security incidents and provide recommendations.
  • Report and manage personnel security incidents in coordination with the DoD CAF.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining security directives, regulations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Review security documentation against contract requirements.
  • Implement and manage a continuing education program for personnel security.
  • Conduct security assessments of SOCPAC facilities and provide improvement recommendations.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in any discipline or equivalent military/federal experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience managing a collateral security program within a federal agency.
  • At least one year of experience in implementing and maintaining an SCI security program.
  • Two to three years of experience in managing the Industrial Security Program.
  • Completion of relevant training from the Center for Development of Security Excellence in areas such as Physical Security, Information Security, and Personnel Security.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly in database management.
  • Certification in SCI Administration is preferred.

Clearance Requirement:
Must possess a Top-Secret clearance and be eligible for SCI access.

Travel:
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
