Job Title: Deputy Attorney General II-V

The Delaware Department of Justice seeks a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Attorney General II-V to represent the Public Advocate in various regulatory matters. As a key member of the team, you will provide expert advice on public utility laws and regulations, draft and review orders, and communicate with utilities regarding regulatory issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advising the Public Advocate on legal and regulatory matters related to public utilities
  • Drafting and reviewing orders, filings, and complaints
  • Communicating with utilities regarding regulatory issues, including complaints, statutes, regulations, and policies
  • Investigating and litigating rate cases and other utility regulatory issues
  • Representing the Victims' Compensation Assistance Program Appeals Board
Requirements:
  • Delaware Bar membership with at least 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney
  • Eligibility for admission to practice in various federal circuit courts of appeal
  • Strong knowledge of public utility laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
