About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Avera Behavioral Health Center-Sioux Falls. As an LPN, you will work closely with registered nurses, advanced practice registered nurses, licensed physicians, and other healthcare providers to deliver high-quality patient care. In this role, you will collect data and conduct focused nursing assessments, participate in the development and modification of patient-centered healthcare plans, implement nursing interventions, assist in the evaluation of responses to interventions, provide for the maintenance of safe and effective nursing care, advocate for the best interest of patients, communicate and collaborate with patients and members of the healthcare team, assist with health counseling and teaching, and delegate and assign nursing interventions to implement the plan of care.

Key Responsibilities
- Collecting data and conducting focused nursing assessments
- Participating in the development and modification of patient-centered healthcare plans
- Implementing nursing interventions
- Assisting in the evaluation of responses to interventions
- Providing for the maintenance of safe and effective nursing care
- Advocating for the best interest of patients
- Communicating and collaborating with patients and members of the healthcare team
- Assisting with health counseling and teaching
- Delegating and assigning nursing interventions to implement the plan of care

Qualifications
- Valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) from the state of practice
- Strong foundation in nursing principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Visual acuity tasks, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
