- Administering Chemotherapy: Delivering chemotherapy treatments safely and effectively.
- Patient Monitoring: Observing patients during their treatment sessions to ensure their well-being.
- Collaboration: Working closely with physicians to discuss patient care, treatment plans, and lab results for optimal patient outcomes.
- Patient Education: Providing comprehensive information to patients regarding their chemotherapy regimen.
- Chart Management: Updating and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Chemotherapy Preparation: Mixing chemotherapy solutions as required.
- Clinical Communication: Handling phone inquiries from current chemotherapy patients.
- Lab Procedures: Performing occasional laboratory draws.
- Support Role: Offering backup assistance to pharmacy technicians when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications: While not mandatory, familiarity with the following systems and backgrounds is advantageous:
- Athena/Centricity Practicing System
- HCA/BSMH Electronic Medical Records Systems
- Oncology Experience
- Chemotherapy Certification
Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with experience, and work hours are negotiable. The practice observes a schedule that excludes nights, weekends, and holidays.
