Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Oncology team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As an Oncology Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to our patients with cancer. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring the highest level of quality and compassion.

Responsibilities
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing surgical oncology procedures
  • Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments, as well as manage infusion lines and other related equipment
  • Assess and monitor patients' conditions, reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
  • Collaborate with oncology-certified nurses and cancer experts to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families throughout the continuum of care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
  • Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification
  • Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification preferred (required after 1 year of employment)
  • Certification as an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred
